Marjorie Mitchell is the Director of the Michigan Universal Health Care Access Network (MICHUHCAN), a statewide network advocating for comprehensive health care and improved outcomes through education, policy analysis, and advocacy. With over 45 years of experience as an educator and advocate for health care access and people with developmental disabilities, Mitchell has worked to expand health insurance coverage for all Michigan families. She volunteers extensively with community resource centers and serves on multiple boards and committees. In 2015, “Molina Healthcare of Michigan” recognized her as a community hero at their, “Community Champions Awards” held in Detroit, Michigan.
