He is currently an executive board member of Michigan For Single Payer Healthcare and holds advisory roles on several healthcare organizations. His educational background includes a BA from Cornell, an MD and residency from the University of Toledo, and a Master’s in Public Health from the University of Michigan. He has practiced and taught adult primary care for more than four decades and served as President of Physicians for a National Health Plan, and Board member of; Single Payer Action Network of Ohio, Universal Healthcare Action Network of Ohio, Toledo Jobs with Justice, Toledo Lucas County Board of Health and Alumni Board of the University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences. His commitment to universal healthcare is reflected throughout his career in both leadership and teaching roles.
