Bob Sisler is a dedicated advocate for single-payer healthcare who worked for the State of Michigan for 29 years as a Clinical Social Worker. During this time, he was a member of the United Auto Workers (UAW) Local 6000 as an activist and organizer. Bob has worked in many ways to support communities in distress serving as a Crisis Counselor for the UAW’s International Union in New York City just days after 9/11. After retirement he was Chair person of UAW Local 6000 Retired Workers Council and UAW Region 1A and Executive Board Member of the Michigan Alliance of Retired Americans, where he fought to strengthen Social Security and Medicare. As an Executive Board Member of Healthcare-Now, Bob worked with UAW leadership, John Conyers, Marylin Clemens and many others on behalf of Medicare For All legislation. Bob is an Executive Board member of Michigan For Single Payer Healthcare and Chairperson of Southeast Michigan For Single Payer Healthcare.
