Sign the State Based Universal Health Care Act (SBUHCA) Petition

Urge Congress to pass SBUHCA and Lansing to pass the MiCARE Act so Michigan can run one statewide plan that covers everyone with no premiums, copays, or deductibles.

WE, THE UNDERSIGNED; SUPPORT THE STATE BASED UNIVERSAL HEALTHCARE ACTS (SBUHCA) IN CONGRESS AND THE “MiCARE” ACT IN THE MICHIGAN LEGISLATURE and request all elected officials, including Michigan’s two (2) Senators and Congressional delegation to publicly advocate and organize for the passage of this legislation.

SBUHCA provides comprehensive medical care to every person in a state including; primary care, vision, dental, mental health, substance abuse, reproductive health and reduces costs for prescription drugs, all without premiums, copays, deductibles or other out of pocket costs.

The MiCARE ACT provides similar comprehensive healthcare statewide in Michigan. The SBUHCA provides the necessary federal waivers and funding for state to provide a statewide healthcare system such as MiCARE.

These pieces of legislation create the only healthcare delivery system that can provide expanded universal coverage, save us money, control costs, eliminate healthcare inequalities, provide true freedom of choice in selecting our preferred healthcare providers and prepare us for the healthcare challenges of the future. We all deserve comprehensive, affordable and accessible health care regardless of our personal identity, status in the community or our ability to pay.
